Upcycling Project

This project is a school project. We had to make a sustainable custommade jacket for a user, that we choose ourself. Then we also had to choose a brand that we wanted to make the jacket for. I choose the sustainable Swedish brand, called Rave Review. The process involves decoding the brand's DNA, making sketches from the user's needs and the brand DNA, making moodboards, making the jacket in CLO3D, making a tech pack and at the end sew the jacket in real life.

The material is upcycled retro plaids, which makes it sustainable.

Tech pack

Here is an example on a tech pack. It contains style files (the technical drawings), where you can see the details on the jacket, and also the inside of the jacket, where the lining is placed. I also took pictures in CLO3D from different angles, so the manufactory get a better idea of the fit. You see the item list, which contains details about fabric, thread, buttons, drawstring and elastic. Under you see ‘how to measure’ sketches and measurement chart.
